Avions Voisin C25 “Clairière” - 1935 by Perico001 In 1935, the Voisins were almost one-offs. This C25’s specifications like the Total gearbox, resembled a C28. Each Voisin coachwork had a name starting with C (Aérodyne excepted). This “Clairière” borrowed the front shape of the Aérodyne, but had a cutaway rear with a protruding boot.

Avions Voisin C1 “Grand Prix de Boulogne” - 1929 by Perico001 Gabriel Voisin manufactured cars between the 2 world wars. He and his brother, Charles, made their fortune manufacturing planes (10.000 !). Charles was killed but Gabriel decided to go it alone. He bought this C1 from independent engineers and immediately positioned his make in the luxury bracket.

Avions Voisin C11 ‘Lumineuse’ - 1927 by Perico001 Voisin was one of the few manufacturers who used aerodynamics in the 20s. Rather than streamlining, he reduced the frontal area. He told those surprised by the inward-leaning pillars that the 2 people seated needed shoulder room. The in-house designer, Chasseriez, created the coachwork.

His prototypes at the 1950 Paris Motor Show did not interest French industrialists so he turned to Spanish company, Autonacional. They replaced the Gnome & Rhone twin cylinder by a Hispano-Villiers single pot engine, added 3-point brakes and sold it a very low price.
