Purchased by the National Police as the successor to the 356, the last of which were delivered in 1966, the Porsche 912 combined the new styling of the 911 with the reliable technology of the 356, and was considerably cheaper than the 6-cylinder 911. In this first model the rear window could be opened by means of a zipper.
The fast motorway patrol Porsches were decorated with orange patches to improve safety. The airborne brigade of the National Police was frequently required to assist with traffic surveillance duties and the large number on the Porsches facilitated communications with the aircraft.

Porsche 912 - 1966 by Perico001 Dieser Porsche is ein US-Fahrzeug und ein so genanntes “black-plate car” - d.h. er war durchgehend in Kalifornien angemeldet.
Seit dem Jahr 2008 ist das Fahrzeug wieder in Deutschland. Der 912er hat matching numbers und befindet sich in einem umrestaurierten zustand.
In den frühen 70er Jahren wurde das Fahrzeug bereits unter Verwendung einer originalen Porsche-Farbe umlackiert : tangerine (Blutorange).
Das Fahrzeug präsentiert sich mit zeitgenössischem “Tuning” : 68er Motorhaube, Tiefverlegung und Fuchsfelgen.

Porsche 356 Speedster Concept - 1954 by Perico001 Dieser allererste Speedster Prototyp markiert den Beginn einer Frischluft-Legende. Auf Wunsch des US-amerikanischen Porsche-Importeurs, Max Hoffman, realisiert Porsche einen spartanisch ausgestatteten Porsche 356, der weniger als 3.000 US-Dollar kosten soll.
Kennzeichnend für den Speedster sind sein Notverdeck, seitliche Steckscheiben sowie eine aufgesetzte, niedrige Windschutzscheibe. Anfangs ist der Speedster nur in den USA erhältlich.

It is one of a long series of experimental cars, a tradition in the Rolls-Royce history dates as far back as 1919. The car is powered by two electric motors each with an output of 145 kW, enabling it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 8 seconds. It has a range of 200 km.

Aston Martin DB3S - 1954 by Perico001 David Brown always accompanied his cars to Le Mans. In 1951, a DB2 finished third. He and his team knew they needed a new car to do better. German Eberan von Eberhorst (ex-Auto Union) penned the DB3. After a difficult 1952, the DB3 S came 2nd in 1955/1956. 20 were built, 10 for the factory, 10 for sale.

The BMW plant in Eisenach was a Soviet state-owned enterprise up until 1952. The factory started manufacturing pre-war passenger cars again in 1946. A newly designed passenger car - the BMW 340 - went into mass production in 1949. It was equipped with a six-cylinder, four-stroke engine that had already been in production in Eisenach prior to the Second World War.
In 1951, a legal dispute over the brand name BMW broke out between the company headquarters in Munich and the production site in Eisenach. The plant was no longer permitted to use the name after 1952, and instead operating as EMW.
EMW production was abandoned in 1953 in favor of the F9. Of the 21.000 EMW cars produced in total 8.000 were exported. They were often used in East Germany as government, police and medical emergency vehicles, and as taxis.

Wolseley, one of the oldest British companies, was run by Herbert Austin before he founded his own firm, and the Hon. Charles S. Rolls was one of its drivers. Another great name in the history of this “Doctor’s Coupé” was Stuart Lewis Evan’s mother. Her son was one of the leading Vanwall drivers in the late 50s. A sample of English history !
