Porsche 917 - 1969 by Perico001 The 917 had almost no aero grip due to its long tail for the maximum speed at Le Mans. The use of wings was in it infancy. This 917, which led the 1969 24 Hours for a long time and set the fastest lap at 234 km/h (Vic Alford), is on show in its short-tail version perfected by the Gulf Wyer team as it is raced regularly.

This car was ordered in 1929 by Edward Price Hallows, an important City of London wine merchant. He commissioned this body from top coach builders Hooper and retained the car until 1937, when it passed to Lionel Collrose, who kept it until 1954. The next owner was Walter Ernest Argyle of Oxford. In 1969 it was bought by 20th Century Fox and appeared in the Jean Negulesco film Hello-Goodbye. In 1972, it was bought by a Mr McNamara of London, and passed into its current ownership in 2000.

Alfa-Romeo 1750 Gran Sport - 1932 by Perico001 Coachwork by Zagato

Alfa-Romeo’s 6C 1750 series was built between 1929-32. This 6C 1750 GS was sold new to Angelo Parodi, boss of Moto Guzzi, who owned the car from November 1932 to September 1934. Vittorio Parodi entered the car for the 1933 and ‘34 Mille Miglias, finishing 19th in 1933. In 1934 the car was sold via British Alfa-Romeo importer F.G. Stiles to amateur racer John Flint. In the 1950s the car was sold to Thomas Butts of Florida, and was road tested for Road & Track by F1 Champion Phil Hill.

Alfa-Romeo GT 1300 Junior - 1967 by Perico001 Styled by Bertone, the GT 1300 Junior Coupé was introduced to the international motoring press on Alfa-Romeo’s Balocco test track in late September 1966. It successfully extended Alfa-Romeo ownership to customers such as young married men looking for a sporting and elegant car with four seats. Priced at launch at 1.695.000 Lire, the GT 1300 Junior was the most successful Italian coupé of the late 1960s. This fully restored car is finished in a striking yellow shade “Giallo Ocra”.
