Urvater des ausgestellten Models war der Maserati 450 S Coupé Zagato aus dem Jahr 1957, mit dem einst Stirling Moss das 24-Stunden-Rennen von Le Mans bestritt. Zagato baute insgesamt 5 Exemplare des neuen Mausgrau. Er ist mit dem V8-Zylinder-Motor aus dem Maserati GranTurismo bestückt.
