Porsche 935 - 1979 by Perico001 After 1976, Porsche scores big with a race car based on the 911. To dos, Porsche uses the experience gained with the 911 Carrera RSR Turbo of 1974.
The 935, especially suitable for endurance races, turns out to be the winning kind between 1976 and 1982.
At Le Mans, however, the 935 captures the much desired overall victory only once. In the 1979 race, the Kremer-Porsche team wins.
The 935 on exhibit with race drivers Dick Barbour, Rolf Stommelen and the American actor Paul Newman snatches 2nd place.
And there is another famous driver this year : Nick Mason, the drummer of the rock band Pink Floyd.
