1962 Hotchkiss-Willys M201 - BPR 803A - Sywell 05Sep20 by kerrydavidtaylor Seen outside the Sywell Aviation Museum at Sywell Airfield.
A 1962 Hotchkiss-Willys M201 Jeep.
Built in France in 1962 for the French Army by Hotchkiss under licence from Willys. This vehicle is basically the same as the war time Jeep.
The French Army retired their last Jeeps from service in 2000.
This one has found its way onto the UK civil register and has been painted up to represent a WW2 Jeep operated by a war correspondent attached to the United States Army Air Force (AAF), Supreme Headwaters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) which was based at Bushey Park in Hertfordshire.
