Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 “Little Red”, 1967. An experimental Mustang Ford loaned to Carrol Shelby to use as a test bed for the development of performance parts that was thought to have been destroyed has been discovered in a Texas field. Little Red was configured with a supercharged 428 V8 and 3-speed automatic transmission. Shelby eventually sent the car back to Ford where it was supposed to have been crushed which was common practice with prototypes at the time. As one of only 2 notchback Shelby Mustangs of the era, once restored the car could be worth millions
